"...they are the finest group of musicians that I have heard at Roland Park in 13 years"

-Dick Springer

Hailed as "...a real musical feast" (Richard Springer, Roland Park 2023) and "actual musicians ... not just a bunch of glazed donuts" (Julius Orange, Baltimore Music Critic 2023), HEXTET is an exciting new ensemble based out of Baltimore, Maryland. Known for their melodic interpretations and bravura phrasing, HEXTET was formed at the Peabody Institute at Johns Hopkins University in the summer of 2023. Equally at home in a wide range of genres from classical to folk, HEXTET continues to captivate audiences with dazzling virtuosity and dynamic programming. Composed of violinists Sangwoo Kim and Josephine Kim, violists Amelia Eckloff and Kenneth Fujii, and cellists Tim Beccue and Alex Wu, HEXTET represents a diverse range of mostly young musicians from multiple continents. The group has worked with many illustrious artists, being primarily coached by Maria Lambros and Michael Kannen. Semi-finalists at the 2024 Coltman Chamber Music Competition, HEXTET also serves as ensemble-in-residence at Arcadia University.
